This page is the overview you can share. It explains what Sponsored is, what the exchange is, and how a sponsorship is decided — in plain words, with nothing promised that we can’t keep.
No application is taken on this page. When Life launches, there will be two simple ways in — both explained below.

No hidden catch and no fine-print trick. Sponsored works because both sides bring something real.

There won’t be a lot of Sponsored editions — and every single one is customized to the person holding it.
That customization isn’t a build or a settings page. It happens the natural way: by talking with you — in conversation, by email, however you and Dexter naturally talk. Dexter learns who you are by knowing you, and your Life takes your shape.
That’s what makes a sponsored person feel special — because to us, they are. It costs us almost nothing to give, and it’s the whole point.
How a sponsorship is decided.
When someone applies, the work is on our side. We check three things — carefully, and by hand, not by a score that spits out a yes or a no.
Who you are
That you’re a real person, with a real presence, being honest about who you are. No invented identity, no borrowed face.
Whether the following is real — and large enough
We look at whether your audience is genuinely yours and genuinely listening — real people, not inflated numbers — and whether it’s large enough for the exposure to be worth a granted edition.
Whether we want to sponsor you
The final call is ours, and it’s a judgment, not a formula. Someone carrying our name has to be someone we’re glad to stand next to. Fit matters — in both directions.
Two doors in — when Life launches.
Applications aren’t open yet, because Life hasn’t launched yet. When it does, there will be no long gate and no twenty-box form standing in your way. Just two doors:

A short, simple application on the live Sponsored page — who you are, where your audience lives, and how to reach you. That’s enough to start. Everything else, we learn by talking.
Just talk to Dexter
Skip the form entirely and simply have the conversation. Tell Dexter who you are and what you do. Talking is the application — the rest fills in as you go.
And often, we come to you
Most sponsorships won’t start with an application at all. Our scouts are out doing their job — finding the best people, the ones whose voice and audience truly fit — and inviting them directly. If you’re the right person, there’s a good chance the first knock comes from our side.

No. There is no cliff. Sponsored is free — there is nothing to pay, so there is no paywall waiting at the end of it. And across Life generally, that’s not how we deal with people: we don’t cut you off. If anything ever changed, you would hear it from us plainly, in advance — never discover it by being switched off.

No. Applying is not a promise of a yes. We verify who you are, whether your following is real and large enough, and whether we want to sponsor you. Sponsored stays small on purpose.
It means your Life is shaped around you — your voice, your world, your audience — through real conversation with Dexter, by email or in conversation, whatever is natural. Not a template with your name pasted in.
Life is in pre-launch right now, and we won’t name a date we can’t keep. When it opens, applications open with it — and that will be said plainly, here and on the live page.
